30.
The signal to noise ratio for a voice grade line is 30.1 dB (decibels) or a power ratio of 1023:1. The maximum achievable data rate on this line whose spectrum ranges from 300 Hz to 4300 Hz is
6200 bps
9600 bps
34000 bps
31000 bps

Please explain.

Maximum bit rate = Bandwidth*log(1+S/N).
Log base is not said. So taken as 2.

S/n = 1023/1.
Bw = 4300-300.

Maximum bit rate = 4000*log(1 = 1023).
= 4000*10 = 40000 bps.

So the answer will be none of this.

But after solving by this formula the answer is 4000 Hz not 3100 Hz please confirm how 3100 is achieved?

Formula used is bit_rate=bandwidth*log(1+S/N)
Where log base 2
S/N is the signal to noise ration
And bandwidth is 4300Hz
