ARCNET (Attached Resource Computer NETwork) is a widely-installed LAN technology that uses a token-bus scheme for managing line sharing among the workstations and other devices connected on the LAN. Like the Token Ring architecture, ARCnet uses a token to control the flow of information on the network. The hub is the center of the ARCnet network.
