LSI is based almost entirely around NMOS and Depletion-load NMOS. The power rating was about 5V DC for Vcc for this config.
For power efficient applications, CMOS was designed (probably because it uses both p-channel and n-channel).
With a power rating of 3. 3V DC Vcc CMOS are power efficient than NMOS.
