The physical components of a computer that are made up of various metals, silicon, and plastic are collectively known as hardware. Hardware includes the central processing unit (CPU), memory (RAM), storage (e.g. hard drives, SSDs), motherboard, power supply, and other components that make up a computer. All of these components work together to perform the tasks that a computer is capable of, such as running software programs, storing and accessing data, and connecting to the internet.
