Radix or Base : is the total number of unique digits (including zero) used to represent numbers in a numeral system.
Example 1 : In a decimal system the radix is ten (10), because it uses a total of 10 digits from 0 to 9.
Example 2 : In a binary system the radix is two (2), because it uses only 2 digits that is 0 and 1.
