Semiconductor Memory Ram is a Volatile memory (loses data when power goes OFF). Magnetic Memory is non volatile (doesn't not lose data when power goes OFF). Semi conductor memory is faster, economical, smaller in size and lighter, but magnetic memories are slower compared to that. Semi conductor memories consumes less power, but magnetic memory consumes more power than that.

Semiconducor memory is volatile it means it save data if power is supply and if power is goes data is goes and magnetic memory is store permanent no effect of power supply.
