KDEM is a specific OCR-based system.
MICR is only for magnetic ink (like bank cheques).
A laser scanner is used for barcodes, not text.

Kurzweil Data Entry Machine is itself a OCR, to make our answer more specific device, so we choose KDEM.

OCR stands for Optical Character Recognition not Reader.

Kurzweil Data Entry Machine (KDEM) is itself a OCR. So answer can be option A too. Please correct me.
