POS terminal (Point of Sale terminal) → Widely used in shops to check credit/charge cards, with limited keyboard input (like amount & PIN) and visual output (screen/receipt).

The answer should be POS (in my opinion) as a POS machine has a keyboard (limited) for input whereas in a Video Terminal display there are none.

It should be point of sale (pos) terminal as it is saying checking charge cards.
