Answer is feed not fetch.
Feed means put the data into storage.
Fetch means read or take the data from that location or address.

To locate a data item for storage --- > is closer to the term Feed, than Fetch.
B/c after locating the data into a specific address of a storage, the system puts the data into storage.

In another way, "locate a data item for storage" meaning finding it's location from hard disk & then fetching it to store in some other storage device.
