The answer is wrong.

The answer is a modem because modulator converts the only analog to digital signal not digital to analog signal, but modem stance for the modulator and de modulator that means analog to digital, or digital to analog.

I think in transmission, only the signal is converted not data. Modem convert the signal. I am confused about the answer. If any one have correct answer please explain.

Modulator is the correct answer.

The device that convert single is modulator.

Modem converts only data.

Modem is a device that converts digital signals into analog at the sender end & converts analog into digital at receiver end.

Modulator converts digital signal into analog.
Demodulator converts analog into digital.

Modulator+DEModulator= modem.
