Sunlight depletes nutrients from the surface of the water in summer. So the growth of algae reduces so b correct. But the same time due to sunlight due to photosynthesis DO increase. But due to high temperature DO decrease. So option B is correct.

Ya answer is C as sunlight helps to grow algae not bacteria in presence of sunlight we should go for C.

Impedes means delay or prevent. Algae grow in the dark areas. So algae can't grow in sunlight.
