Young city &new City is adopted Geometrical method note- Geometric method is more precise than arithmetic mean method.

Old and large city = AIM.

The arithmetical mean method is used for cities or towns which have been highly developed previously whose scope of development in future is less.

The geometrical method is used for forecasting of the population of the cities which are rapidly developing.

Incremental increase method is used when there is no description of the growth of the city or town.
