Given- Number of places- 4 nos.
Population- 40 Lakhs.
Duration- 4 hr.
No. of steams- 3 nos (Discharge of each steams= 1000 L/minute).
Solution :
Total Quantity of water required = 4(places) X 3(steams) X 1000 (L/min) X 60 X 4 (hours)
= 2880000 Liters.
= 2880 kilo-liters.
Population- 40 Lakhs.
Duration- 4 hr.
No. of steams- 3 nos (Discharge of each steams= 1000 L/minute).
Solution :
Total Quantity of water required = 4(places) X 3(steams) X 1000 (L/min) X 60 X 4 (hours)
= 2880000 Liters.
= 2880 kilo-liters.

Total quantity of water required = No of fires x Discharge x Time of each fire.
= 4 x (3 x 1000) x (4 x 60) = 2880000 liters = 2880 kilo liters. (where, 1000 liters/minute is discharge of each stream).
= 4 x (3 x 1000) x (4 x 60) = 2880000 liters = 2880 kilo liters. (where, 1000 liters/minute is discharge of each stream).
