Here, the option of 50mg/l is not given so we take the least one (60mg/l).

For Slow sand Filter = 50mg/l.

For Rapid Sand filter = 35-40mg/l.

The slow sand filters can remove turbidity to the extent of 50 PPM.

For water having greater turbidity than 60 PPM then it is required to give preliminary treatment.
