The main process to purify water by filtration is mechanical straining.
Filtration is the process of passing water through a porous material (such as sand, gravel, or a filter membrane) to remove suspended particles, sediment, and other impurities. This process works by physically straining the water as it passes through the filter medium, which traps the particles and allows clean water to pass through.
While flocculation and sedimentation, biological metabolism, and electronic change can be important processes in water treatment, they are not the main processes involved in filtration. Flocculation and sedimentation involve adding chemicals to the water to cause particles to clump together and settle out, while biological metabolism and electronic change are typically used for more advanced treatment processes, such as removing dissolved contaminants like bacteria, viruses, or chemicals.

All the processes are necessary for proper filtration.
Hence, E is right.
Hence, E is right.

The filters containing Two cylinders one cylinder has different layers of varying sizes of stones and another cylinder has activated carbon and also some stone layers.
In this filters, we can separate the dust and floating materials and color of water, not chemical colors natural soil colors.
Now, we can understand that filters are just mechanical strainers.
