7.2 mld = 7.2 x 1000/1 x 24 x 60 x 60 = 0.08334 m^3/sec.
Q = AV, 0.08334 = 3.14d^2/4 x 1.2.

So, 0.08334 x 4/ 1.2 x 3.14 = d = 0.2966 m say 30 cm.

Q = 7. 2MLD = 7. 2 * 1000/(24*60*60) = 0. 08334 m3-sec.
Then Q=AV; 0. 08334 =3. 14d2/4 *1. 2
d= 0. 2974m, d=29.74 = 30cm.

@Ashish.

Q = AV and 7.2 mld =0. 08334 m^3/sec.

Now put the value and get the answer.
