Consumptive use = water which doesn't comes to source i.e.sea/lake.
So, it includes transpiration and interception.
Not evoporation because, it again comes to source in the form of precipitation.

Consumptive water use is water removed from available supplies without return to a water resource system (Eg: water used in manufacturing, agriculture, and food preparation that is not returned to a stream, river, or water treatment plant).
