Standard rain gauge. The standard NWS rain gauge, developed at the start of the 20th century, consists of a funnel emptying into a graduated cylinder, 2 cm in radius, which fits inside a larger container which is 20 cm in diameter and 50 cm tall.

In India, we are using non-recording type (Symons rain gauge).
So, 30 cm is the correct answer.

According to IS code 4986 (1968) accurate 30.5 cm. so 30 is the correct answer.
