The BOD for first 5 days is referred as carbonaceous, first stage, or initial demand.
The BOD after 5 days referred as carbonaceous plus nitrogenous demand and BOD of 20 days is referred as ultimate bod.

Yes, it is right! We calculate the BOD after 5 days incubation period.

1st stage oxidation is carbonaceous demand or BOD.
2nd stage oxidation is nitrogenous oxygen demand.
2nd stage oxidation is nitrogenous oxygen demand.
