Detention time = vol.of tank/Rate of flow.
Rate of flow = (24*6*3)/2.
= 216 cu m.
Rate of flow = (24*6*3)/2.
= 216 cu m.

q(rate of flow) = volume per unit time = 24 * 6 * 3/2 = 216 cubic meter/hr.

Detention time = V/Q.
Give data, Dt=2 hrs
Volume= 24*6*3,
Q=V/Dt, =24*6*3/2=216.

Q= (L*B*H)/T m^3/hr.
Q = Discharge (m^3/hr),
T = Time in Hour,
L = Leght (m),
B = Breath (m).
H = Height (m).
