How can we find it, strain energy is maximum in cantilever carrying UDL?
Please explain me, anybody.

Strain energy = 0.5 * load * deflection.
Find the maximum deflection to get maximum strain energy.
Find the maximum deflection to get maximum strain energy.

Starin energy is maximum, where deflection is maximum. Among this beam, deflection is more in cantilever beam so strain energy is maximum in cantilever beam.

S.E = (1/2) * P * deflection.
In the case of the cantilever beam, there is a max amount of deflection we can find. So Strain energy here also be max.

For udl, you cannot use 0.5*p*deflection.
We have to follow {integral of (Mdx/2EI)}.
We have to follow {integral of (Mdx/2EI)}.

D is the correct option strain energy is the bending moment in the beam;
Due to UDL max BM for fixed is wl2/12.
For cantilever wl2/2,
For simply supported wl2/8.
And for prop cantilever also wl2/8.
So, highest in the fixed beam.
