Duration along the critical path defines the project duration. By proper planning it can be made as short as possible. Hence shorter duration is needed to complete the project in shortest time possible.

It is the maximum duration path hence the longest duration is permissible along the critical path in comparison to other path available from start to end.

As we know, there is no flow at the critical path which may cause the shortest duration and it shouldn't be allowed to complete the work after the duration of the critical path.

So, Option B is correct.

The correct answer is C.

Critical path defines the longest duration needed to complete the project and it also defines the shortest permissible duration before which project cannot be completed.

Hope this will be the correct answer.
