Annual depreciation =( purchase value -scrap value)/life.
0.3 = (purchase value -2000)/24000.
Purchase value = 9200.
0.3 = (purchase value -2000)/24000.
Purchase value = 9200.

Purchase value= working hour average life x Depreciation charges + scrap value..
= (24000x0.30)+2000,
= 9200.
= (24000x0.30)+2000,
= 9200.

Working hour = 24000 * 0.3 = 7200,
Scrap value = 2000,
Purchase price = 7200 + 2000 = 9200.
Scrap value = 2000,
Purchase price = 7200 + 2000 = 9200.

Purchase value = D + Cs.
= 7200 + 2000 = 9200.
= 7200 + 2000 = 9200.

It should be option B (24000*.3 = 7200) only because 2000 is scrap value not salvage value.

I think we have to reduce 2000 (7200-2000=5200).

Working hour= 24000*.3 = 7200.
Add Rs.2000.
Purchase price = Rs 7200+Rs 2000 = Rs 9200.
Add Rs.2000.
Purchase price = Rs 7200+Rs 2000 = Rs 9200.
