Curvature correction = d^2/2r,
Refraction correction = d^2/14r,
Combined correction = cc+rc,
= -d^2/2r+d^2/14r.
= 0.0673d^2.
Refraction correction = d^2/14r,
Combined correction = cc+rc,
= -d^2/2r+d^2/14r.
= 0.0673d^2.

0.0673 x D^2.
0.0673 x 40^2.
107.68.
0.0673 x 40^2.
107.68.

The formula goes like this,
0.0673D^2.
And D = 40km,
Hence 0.0673 * 40^2 = 107.68.
0.0673D^2.
And D = 40km,
Hence 0.0673 * 40^2 = 107.68.
