Thee slenderness ratio 350 given;
= effective length/radius of gyration
L= 350xr.
= 350xD/4,
= 350x4,
= 1600.

We know,
The radius of gyrations of steel rod.
r = (D/4).
As per IS code 456-2000.
Subject to a possible reversal of stress due to the WIND slenderness ration =350.
(L/r) = 350.
L= 350 * r.
=350 * (D/4).
=350 * (16/4).
=1400 mm.
