Option B is correct because the bulking of sand is due to contact moisture, not capillarity.

Capillarity is also due to surface tension so we can say bulking is due to surface tension or capillarity.

Yeah, Answer a is the correct answer because due the formation of a film of water there is an occurrence of capillarity and which is responsible for bulking of sand, and it is more in the fine sand because of the surface.

The area is more in fine sand.
