Sf = Sp* { Bf (Bp + .3)/Bp (Bf+ .3) }^2
= 5 * { 3 ( .6+ .3)/ .6 ( 3+ .3)}^2
= 9.24 mm.
Ans = 9 mm.

Sf(in mm)/Sp(in mm) ={Bf(BP +0.3) ÷ Bp(Bf +0.3) } ^2.
Where Bf =width of foundation in the meter.
Bp = width of the plate in the meter.
Sf = settlement of foundation (mm).
Sp = settlement of plate in mm.

Please explain me ,anybody, I got 25mm answer for this question. But here, the given answer is 9mm. How it is possible?
