Yes, it must be A.

It will take 25+1 length to measure 502 meter in 25 length it will measure 500 m and last one length it will measure 2m.

Actual length=19.92 measured = 20m.
L actual={19.92x25}+ 2 = 500m.
L mesrd=(20x25)+2 = 502m.

@All.

True * true = wrong * wrong.
500 * 20=502 * wrong length of tape,
So, after calculation, it is 19.92 that is A is the correct answer.

(TrueLength/MeasuredLength) = (IncorrectLength of Tape or Chain/Correct Length of Tape or Chain).

500/502 = 20/L,
L = 20.08m.

"A" option is correct tape is too short so thats the reason it gives greater lenght as compared to actual lenght.

Dibakar said:   4 years ago
It measures more than the actual length. Only possible when the tape is short.

A is correct.

True*True = False*False
20*500 = 502*l
L = 19.92m.

Option A is the correct answer (500x20 )÷ 502 = 19.92m.

X/20 = 500/502.
X = 500/502*20 = 19.92m.

The answer is A.

Tap = 500x20/502.
= 19.92 m (correct Chain length).

Agree @Deepak Rawat.

(500/502) * 20 = 19.92.
