Typical four-legged intersection has about 32.

Different types of conflicts. Including conflicts due to pedestrians. Which are 8. For two lane intersection.

Conflicts in a traffic signal:
8 Right turn Through.
8 Pedestrian.
4 Right turn.
4 Through traffic.
4 Merging.
4 Diverging.
Total = 32 Conflicts.

The correct answer will be C. 16 because the question is asking about the major conflict point,s not the total conflict point (which is 24).
