Option C is correct.
At 0 degrees, normal stress will be maximum and shear stress will be 0.
And @45 degrees shear stress is maximum.
At 0 degrees, normal stress will be maximum and shear stress will be 0.
And @45 degrees shear stress is maximum.

As maximum stress would be when a load acts at minimum cross-section area.
So option C will be correct.
