As per IS code, Cylinder/Cube = range is between 0.77 - 0.96.

The cube strength = 1.25 time of cylindrical strength then cylindrical strength is .85.

Ratio of cylinder strength to cube strength varies from 0.77 -0.96. Thus 0.85 can be taken as approximation ratio.
