Let midpoint of AB be point C.
As per Maxwell's Reciprocal theorem,
Force at B * Deflection at B = Force at C * Deflection at C.
W * Deflection at B = W/2 * y.
Deflection at B = y/2.
Correct answer is C.

W*x= w/2*deflection at the mid point.
So x= deflection at mid point/2.
