∇ h/2=0.04.
Finally, ∇ h=0.08=80mm.

Ultimate settlement =( initial void ratio - final void ratio)/(1+ initial void ratio).
= (1-0.92) /(1+1).
= 0.08/2= 0.04.
40 mm.
