Two different granular soils are placed in a permeameter tube and flow is allowed to take place under a constant total head. The total head and pressure head at point A in centimeters, are respectively.

25cm for lower soil.
25 cm for upper soil.

Here, in the diagram has little error in marking dimensions.
Upper soil=lower soil=25cm.
If you take the datum at the water table level at the top of the upper soil, then the datum head at pt. A= (-50)cm.
Then, pressure head at pt.
A is 25 + 25 + 25 = 75 cm.
So, total head at A = 75+(-50)= 25 cm.
Here, in the diagram has little error in marking dimensions.
