Net forces will be
AB= F.
BC= F.
CD=2F.
SO stressed will be;
Sigma= Force/Area.
For AB stress = F/(π/4D²).
= 4F/πD².
SIMILARLY, for BC stress = 16F/πD^2.
And for CD stress = 8F/πD^2.
Now the ratio will be;
4F : 16F : 8F.
= 1 : 4 : 2.
Correct and C 1:4:2.
