Now $ = WL^3/3AE*d^2 or eL^2/3d^2. Where is One L.
When you solve you get el^3/3d^2.
When you solve you get el^3/3d^2.

For 1st case e = WL/AE.
For the 2nd case $ = WL^3/48EI.
I = π d^4/64 = A*d^2/16 where A = πd^2/4.
Now $ = WL^3/3AE*d^2 or eL^2/3d^2.
For the 2nd case $ = WL^3/48EI.
I = π d^4/64 = A*d^2/16 where A = πd^2/4.
Now $ = WL^3/3AE*d^2 or eL^2/3d^2.
