Point of contraflexure is the point at which bending moment changes sign not the point at which bending moment is zero.
E.g. for a cantilever carrying a point load at its free end. BM at the free end is zero but no sign change ocure so it is not a point of contraflexure.

I think When SF change its sign at that point call a point of contraflexure. So at that time SF becomes zero and when SF becomes zero BM becomes maximum.

At contraflexure S.F is max so ultimately B.M is zero. And at this point B.M changes its sign means 1st it will reach 0 then change in sign occur.

I was taught by my lecturer that the point of contraflexure is the point where the bending moment is zero. How true is that?

Were sagging B.M changes to hogging. That is from positive to negative or can be said to be point of zero shear force.

Point of contraflexure occurs where bending moment changes its sign from positive to negative or viceversa.

Point of contraflexure is where BM changes its sign i.e from +to- or -to+.
S.F is maximum at that point.
S.F is maximum at that point.

When the load coming change. It's which udl to point load because create point of contraflexure.

The point of contraflexure is mid point of beam where are bending moment are zero.

It is a point where B.M changes sign from positive to negative or becomes zero.
