As the distance between the tachometer and staff increases, the staff intercept by stadia hair increases. So Option A and C both should be correct.

As the distance increases the staff intercept will be increased.

Option B is totally right.

Staff intercept is the vertical angle between the upper stadia or lower stadia and the Horizontal line.

What is upper stadia and lower stadia?

Upper stadia is the line reading on the upper side of staff from the horizontal line.
Whereas lower stadia is the lower reading line from the horizontal line.
So, when the staff is held farther, the angle decrease, thus smaller will be the staff intercept.

Similarly, when staff is held nearer staff intercept will be greater.

In tachometer, the distance measured is directly proportional to staff interval so for farther point staff intercept has to increase for a further point as well has to decrease when measuring nearer point so it can't be correct. A and C both are correct.

I agree with you @Smriti. The Answer should be A.

Both A and C are correct as staff interval is directly proportional to the distance measured.

A is the correct option.

The Stadia interval will be smaller but the staff intercept will be greater.
