No, @Anand.
Two points should be well-known points.i.e Whose position have already been plotted on the plan are selected.

Two Point Problem:.
It is basically a resection method.
Resection is a method of plane table surveying in which location of a plane table is unknown. Location of a plane table is determined by looking it to known points. It can be determined through:.
1. Two-point problem.
2. Three-point problem.
The problem of finding the plotted position of the station point occupied by the plane table with the help of plotted positions of two well-defined points is known as solving a two-point problem.
Hence, the orientation of plane-table, by solving the two-point problem, is adopted only when the given points are inaccessible.
