The Correct answer is telescopic alidade because in this a telescope is attached with it by the use of telescope we can find the angle and by the use of angle and horizontal distance we can find vertical distance.

The question asked " horizontal and vertical distances" not "Angles".
So the right answer could be : plane alidade.

It's asking horizontal and vertical distances and not angles. So telescopic alidade is correct.

Option B is correct because plan alidade is used for sighting the objects and drawing the rays towards the objects.
While Telescope alidade is used for the horizontal distance between the instrument and point sighted.
