There are two types of vernier maily used.
1. simple vernier.
2. Retrogate Vernier.
Retrogate Vernier primary scale smallest division is less thn the Vernier scale division.

The equation for Retrogate Vernier:
V*n = (n+1)*S.
Therefore V > S.
V*n = (n+1)*S.
Therefore V > S.
