For deep beams;
In case of simply supported beam;
Lever arm=0.2(1+2D) for 1<l/d <2.
0.61 for l/d<1.
In case of continuous beam;
Lever arm = 0.2(1+1.5D) for 1 < l/d <2.5.
0.51 for l/d <1.
In case of simply supported beam;
Lever arm=0.2(1+2D) for 1<l/d <2.
0.61 for l/d<1.
In case of continuous beam;
Lever arm = 0.2(1+1.5D) for 1 < l/d <2.5.
