1.For simply supported Mmax=Wl/4, R=W/2.
2.For simply supported with eccentric point load M.ax= Wab/l , Ra= Wb/2, Rb= Wa/2.
3.For a simply supported beam with UDL on entire span Mmax= wl^2/8 , R= Wl/2.
4. For. Cantilever beam with point load at end
Mmax= W.L.
5.For cantilever beam with UDL on entire span
Mmax= wl^2/2.

@Sai Madhav.

Max b.m for cantilever UDL is algebraic sum of moment i.e wl*l/2 =wl2/2.

The given answer is correct.
Max bending moment will be;
=wL^2/2.
also =WL/2.
Where weight per length(w) = Weight(W)/length.

I think the answer is WL^2/2.

The answer must be Wl2/2.

It is WL/2 because in the question they have total UDL of magnitude W Hence WL/2 otherwise if w kg/m if they had mentioned then it would be wlxl/2 i.e. Wl2/2.

Answer should be wl^2/2.

According to me, it is Wl^2/8.

@Pk050.

wl^2/8 is for max deflection not for max BM.
