Hooke's laws is hold good upto Proportional Limit, but every Material obeys Hooke's laws upto elastic limit. Answer should be Option A.

Hooke's law is nothing but stress is directly proportional to strain which only occurs in proportionality limit, elastic limit means under stress material expands and after removal of stress it regains its original shape but while this stress is not proportional to strain so Hooke's law is applicable only in proportionality limit.
