Stiffeners are transverse plates used in plate girders to avoid local web buckling and are spaced 1.5 times the distance b/w flange angles.

Stiffer are where there is a possibilities of buckling and they are used to support the plate vertically with max distance 1.5.

Yes, sir right as per design criteria of vertical stiffener minimum spacing 0.33d &max 1.5d.

Because of maxi. spacing of vertical stiffener is limited to 1.5 d so answer. C is correct.
