As it is a single angle discontinuous strut so the effective area is calculated by
k= 3A1 /(3A1 +A2).
Where A1, A2= Area of connected leg and unconnected (outstand) leg.
Here A1 =A2 = 30/2 =15 (Here all data are not given so we assume both leg having equal area)
hence k=0.75 (by calculation).
So load carrying capacity= k*A*S = 0.75 * 30 * 625 = 14062.5 Kg = 14.062 toones i.e 15 tonnes (nearby value).
