As per IS : 800 - 1984 , When a single angle strut is connected to a gusset plate with one rivet, then allowable working stress corresponding to the slenderness ratio of the member, is reduced to 80%.
So,
Safe load carrying capacity of the member = (0.80*625) * (30) = 15 tonnes.
So,
Safe load carrying capacity of the member = (0.80*625) * (30) = 15 tonnes.

According to steel Code, Allowable working stress for single angle discontinuous strut is 0.80 allowable work Stress.
So load =. 0.80 x 685 x 30 = 15000.
15tonnes answer C.
So load =. 0.80 x 685 x 30 = 15000.
15tonnes answer C.

Load Carrying Capacity = 625*30 = 18750 Kg.
Safe Load = 18750/(F.S = 1.5) = 12.5 Tonnes.
Safe Load = 18750/(F.S = 1.5) = 12.5 Tonnes.

18750/1.25 = 15 tonnes. FOS will be 1.25.

@Vipin.
As per which code clauses you taking FOS 1.25?

Answer should be the 12:10 which is obtained after applying factor of safety 1.5 as per is 800 2007.
