There is no word like a compressive index. It should be compression index.

So option A should be correct answer.

Why not void ratio? Sf=H (Cc ÷ 1 + e) ln(delta(sigma)÷sigma).

Not void ratio b'coz void ratio is inversely proportional to the ultimate settlement. And the question asks about directly proportional, so, depth and compression index are the answer.

Where
Sc= settlement.
Cc=compression index.
H=depth.
Po=present effctv ovrbrdn prsr.
Pi=Po+additional stress.
