Porosity:- Total volume of voids(Vv)/ Total volume of soil mass(V), but,
Void ratio:-Total volume of voids(Vv)/Total volume of soil solids(Vs).

Porosity = volume of voids Vv/Total Volume of soil mass Vt.
Void Ratio = volume of void Vv/Volume of Solid Vs.
Therefore answer is porosity.

Void ratio=volume of void/volume of soil.

Porosity=volume of void/total volum of soil.
