|In the Retaining wall Tensile stress develops at the filling side of the wall as the earth filling behind the wall tries to push the wall, so reinforcement will be the back face or filling side,
In Toe of the retaining wall soil pressure will be from the bottom of the toe thus main reinforcement will be at bottom.
In heel due to the filling above the heel tensile stress will develop on the upper side of the heel, so reinforcement will be provided on the upper side of the heel,
